Singapore, officially named the Republic of Singapore, is a sovereign city-state and island country located in maritime Southeast Asia.
Singapore located at the southern tip of the Malaysian peninsula has ensured its importance, which is greater than its size might seem to justify. Singapore consists of the island of Singapore and some 63 islets within its territorial waters.
Singapore is generally hot and humid. It’s warm and humid year round, with the temperature almost never dropping below 20 degrees, even at night, and usually climbing to 30 degrees during the day. Recent times, it even reached till thirty-five degrees. Humidity is high, mounting over a 75% mark.
Though physically small, Singapore is an economic giant. It has been Southeast Asia’s most modern city for over a century. The city blends Malay, Chinese, Arab, Indian and English cultures and religions.

Global Investor Program
This visa allows high net worth personalities from around the globe to bring their investment initiative to Singapore.
Requirements:
- Have at least three years of business or entrepreneurial track record
- Have at least 30% shares in the company if it is privately owned
- For companies in property development or real estate sectors, turnover is at least $200 million SGD in the most recent year and at least $200 million per annum on average for the last three years
- For companies in other business sectors, turnover is at least $50 million SGD in the most recent year and at least S$50 million per annum on average for the last three years
Investment Plan:
- Minimum investment requirement of $2.5 million in a new business start-up or expansion of an existing business operation; or
- Minimum investment requirement of $2.5 million in a GIP-approved fund that invests in Singapore-based companies.
